The AV/Worship team works each week to enrich the service experience. Responsibilities include running the audio board, managing the cameras for live streaming to social media, and preparing and rotating the slides. All three pillar areas can be trained and is a great way to play a crucial role in our weekly worship service. Additional service opportunities within the worship ministry include leading prayer, communion meditation, serving communion, reading scripture, or singing with the Praise Team.
We aim to provide pastoral care and encourage our members who have lost a loved one. We want
them to know that they are not alone and that we love them and are here for them in this new season of their life. We support and encourage with phone calls, cards, visits, sharing holidays and birthdays with them as well as assist around with supporting financial needs that may arise.
Dollar Club funds collected each week allow us to assist people in our own community who are struggling, continue the work of Mission Athens and the Haven, and support the Full Tummy Project by helping to provide simple meals and snacks for students whom the school system has identified as being at risk of going hungry through the weekend.
